Julio Jones Future Team Odds

The mainstream story in football this offseason has been centered around Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones and his future within the league. This story isn’t fresh off the press and the pot has been stirring since before the NFL Draft. The Falcons currently have to free up around $7 million in order to sign their entire draft class. It’s no longer “if” he leaves Atlanta, but “when”. On FS1’s Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe cold-called Julio while on-air and when asked if he was staying in Atlanta, the response was “I’m outta there”. As we near the start of the 2021-22 NFL season, there are many online casinos looking at the next home for Julio Jones and we the fans are curious too.

Top Contenders For Julio Jones

Tennessee, New England, Seattle, and Baltimore are emerging as the top contenders for the 32-year old who can still put up 1,000+ yards when healthy. San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia have been mentioned as well, except they don’t have much draft capital to offer up. Any team who could have a deep playoff run with the addition of Julio Jones will be willing to pay the asking price of at least a 1st round pick. The Titans, Steelers, and Seahawks fall under that category but Pittsburgh likely won’t reset their entire future on Jones. The Patriots aren’t real contenders at this point but Jones could finish his career up north with a possible Super Bowl run in that timeframe.

Online casinos like Energy Casino are all about gambling and odds. When it comes to Julio Jones’ 2021 season, the odds are out for who are the favorites in this lottery. According to on May 30th, Bill Belichick’s Patriots are the favorite to land a deal with Atlanta at -105. They have money to restructure a new deal and New England is never strongly attached to their first-round picks. With Mac Jones/Cam Newton at QB and no true WR1 on the roster, Julio would be welcomed with open arms and won’t see a shortage of targets.

The Titans are the second-favorite at +275 and have a better roster than the Patriots right now. Ryan Tannehill is still seeking a deep playoff run to the Super Bowl and Jones would join AJ Brown as an impactful duo. At +300, the Baltimore Ravens are right behind them in the Julio sweepstakes.

On paper, this team could waltz into the AFC Championship game. In reality, the price tag has to be at the right level for Baltimore to pull the trigger. QB Lamar Jackson’s 2022 fifth-year option is going to hit them hard at $23 million. Come 2022, Julio Jones would only have a cap hit of $11 million. Still, it doesn’t seem likely that Baltimore is willing to give up a fortune to obtain him.

Long Shots and Dark Horses For Julio Jones

An interesting team on the top of the list is Miami at +800. They seem like longshots compared to Baltimore and Tennessee but the Vegas odds are better than expected. The Dolphins drafted Jaylen Waddle in the first round, DeVante Parker is younger than Jones with a $12 million cap hit, and just signed Will Fuller through free agency. Julio Jones would make this offense better and have some draft capital to work with as well. Their main goal in the offseason was to build around QB Tua Tagovailoa as much as possible but adding Jones’ contract to the mix just adds headaches. With just $11 million in cap space, Miami would need to make more room to afford Jones.

San Francisco (+900), Indianapolis (+1000), Green Bay (+1000), and Dallas (+1200) follow on the list but seem far-fetched as well. A team not listed on the list at all is Seattle, yet they have emerged as a dark horse after QB Russell Wilson had private conversations with Jones himself. The Seahawks could be willing to pay a high price for the WR to help smooth over the heat they have with their All-Pro QB lately. Their offense would also be nearly unstoppable in the process.

No matter what team ends up snagging Julio Jones, the real loser in all of this will be QB Matt Ryan on the Falcons. Sure they drafted Kyle Pitts, a generational talent at TE, but Julio is on another level himself. Their playoff hopes will likely leave with Jones.
