Breaking News: Ime Udoka Hired As Celtics New Head Coach

After nearly three weeks of the Celtics not having a coach, they have hired former Nets assistant Ime Udoka. Celtics former General Manager Danny Ainge stepped down earlier this month, and former head coach Brad Stevens was promoted to Head of Basketball Operations. Now Stevens has decided on who will be replacing him.

Ime Udoka was a coach on Team USA during the Worlds. Celtics players who were on that squad were impressed with Udoka after working with him. Udoka played a few years in the NBA during his playing career and has been a coach since 2012. He started his coaching as an assistant for San Antonio. In 2019 he became an assistant for the 76ers, and then in 2020 became the Nets, assistant. Celtics
