Nathan Jessimer set to Return to Action at Almighty Fighting Championship 20

The Scottish Hit Squad’s Nathan Jessimer is scheduled to get back to battle after a long eight months away from MMA competition. Jessimer is booked to take on SBG Bishop Auckland’s Richie Bonallie in a featherweight contest on the 25th of September, on Almighty Fighting Championship 20. The event will be held in Gateshead, England at The Lancastrian Suite. The fight card on the night has Almighty FC followers excited and is definitely a show worth attending.

We are starting to see some positive moves within the UK MMA scene after promoters were forced to close up shop due to the effect the global pandemic had on the country. Now things are easing up, there are over fifty shows and counting scheduled in the UK before the end of the year and the Almighty Fighting Championship is amongst five of them.

Almighty Fighting Championship promoter Ray Thompson has gone full steam ahead with shows scheduled for Barnsley, Liverpool, Gateshead, and Coventry, giving fighters the opportunity to continue their careers and seek activity.

Nathan Jessimer

Nathan Jessimer is (1-2) as a professional and will be seeking his first victory since 2018 at Almighty FC 20. The Scotsman turned professional in early 2018 after an encouraging amateur career going (6-2), collecting a handful of submission victories. Afterward, it hasn’t been such plain sailing for Jessimer.

Jessimer’s first two professional bouts occurred within five months of each other, losing his debut to Thomas Hepburn and then bouncing back with a round-one finish over Andy Nunn in spectacular fashion. The Scottish Hit Squad fighter from Holytown was then presented with an opportunity to compete on one of MMA’s leading organizations in Bellator over a year later but unfortunately suffered defeat at the hands of France’s AsaĆ«l Adjoudj in Milan, Italy.

It’s been several tough years for Jessimer with inactivity and tough luck but don’t let this fool you of the talent and skills he posses. All that’s required is some consistent wins on his resume and he can be competing at the top again and I believe under Brian Gallacher at The Scottish Hit Squad he can achieve exactly that.

Richie Bonallie

Richie Bonallie enters this bout with a mirrored record of his opponent, (1-2) and has been the most active of the two fighters as of late. Bonallie, who fights out of SBG Bishop Auckland will be looking to snap a two-fight-skid and return to the winning bracket.

After ending his amateur career with three consecutive wins in 2018, Bonallie made the leap to the professional circuit in 2019, and the momentum carried through as “The Infamous” defeated Jack Parker by submission via rear-naked choke to go (1-0).

Since then Bonallie has faced two back-to-back losses, suffering a unanimous decision loss to PK Zadeh and enduring a second unanimous decision loss to Oscar Ownsworth at Caged Steel 25 in April of this year.

Nathan Jessimer vs Richie Bonallie

You should expect these featherweights to bring the heat on September 25th. Both men are looking to get themselves out of sticky situations in the early stages of their professional careers. The fighter’s teams believe it’s a good matchup stylistically and an opportunity for their fighter to get back into the win column, which makes for a great fight on the night. September 25th, Gateshead, England. Don’t miss it!
