Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes are set to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana (19) from FC Nordsjælland. The left sided winger spent 18 months at the Danish outfit and it’s fair to say he impressed. Signing on his 18th birthday in January 2020 from African academy ‘Right to Dream’ (who have major links to Nordsjælland and Manchester City), he made 13 Danish Superliga appearances for FCN and hit the back of the net four times. He then went onto to score 10 times in 27 appearances in the 2020/21 season. A very impressive start to professional football for the teenager.

OGC Nice, Stade Rennes and Ajax were all heavily linked with Sulemana with Ajax looking like the most probable destination for the Nordsjælland man not long ago. However, according to L’Équipe and RMC Sport Rennes have managed to convince the winger to sign for them instead of Ajax for a reported fee of around €15m + bonuses.

Sulemana will be able to showcase his talent for Rennes in Ligue 1 and the newly created UEFA Europa Conference League alongside 19-year-old Belgium International Jérémy Doku who caught many people’s eyes in EURO 2020 with Belgium.
