Ritu Phogat vs Meng Bo

Indian wrestling star The Indian Tigress Ritu Phogat survived a first-round onslaught from number 2 ranked atomweight Meng Bo where at moments it looked like Phogat was going to succumb to her second defeat but it wasn’t to be.

Meng rocked Phogat with a smashing right hand in the opening round and then had Phogat in a very dangerous position when she secured a deep armbar, but “The Indian Tigress” showed her incredible heart and desire and live to fight again.

From the start of the second round, Phogat utilised her superior wrestling skills, blasting Meng with knees and elbows from top position to dominate the rest of the way through the second and third round, and taking the Unanimous decision and the final bell successfully progressing to the Semifinals.
