Pacers Injury List

The season has not tipped off yet and the Pacers are already facing a laundry list of issues. T.J. Warren who was out a majority of last season with injuries is still not cleared to play. T.J. Warren will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks.

Edmund Sumner, a promising prospect, who got some time last year and was expected to compete for a backup spot at one of the guard positions, unfortunately, tore his ACL over the summer.

Caris LeVert Latest Injury

Caris LeVert, who joined the Pacers after all the moving pieces in the James Harden trade, has again gone down with an injury. Woj reported today that he has a stress fracture in his back and his return should though be around the beginning of the season. After joining the Pacers, LeVert averaged 20.7 PPG, 4.9 Assists, and 4.6 Boards. In his 5 year career, he has only played over 60 games once.

Coach Carlisle’s Gameplan For the Rookies

This could speed up the process of getting the rookies NBA game time. The Pacers drafted guard Chris Duarte and Forward Isaiah Jackson in the 2021 NBA Draft, and Duarte showed he can play at the NBA level. Jackson could use some time in the G-League, but due to Duarte’s age and injuries on the wing, we could see home more right out of the gate.
