Jon Jones Banned from Jackson-Wink MMA After Domestic Violence Arrest

On the 25th of September 2021, Jon Jones was arrested for domestic violence, in the wake of this Jones has been in contact with those closest to him, this includes now-former coach Mike Winkeljohn. On the 13th of October, Jones took to Twitter to address the situation where he said “I love how people are assuming the worst possible situation in their heads and making it somehow factual.”.

Jones went on to say that he never hit his fiancé and that he is finally ready to quit alcohol and move forward with his life. Another tweet was posted but later deleted where Jones talked about a heartbreaking conversation he had with Winkeljohn and how he is saddened to lose his former coach’s support.

Mike Winkeljohn of Jackson-Wink spoke to Ariel Helwani on the MMA hour and said “Jon, here’s the deal man. You’re like my little brother. You have to stop drinking and fix these things for a certain period of time until you come back to the gym.”
