Kevin Holland Out of Rematch Against Kyle Daukaus at UFC Vegas 42

Kevin Holland has had to withdraw from his upcoming fight against Kyle Daukaus with an undisclosed injury, with the rematch delayed for now.

It is unclear as to what injury the ‘Trailblazer’ has picked up. However, his opponent did tweet speculating about the fight now being rescheduled to February, meaning Holland will require at least a couple of months to recover.

Kevin Holland vs Kyle Daukaus – The Rematch Delayed For Now

Rumours speculate that Daukaus will remain on the card, with the UFC looking for a new opponent for him to face with just over two weeks to go until fight night.

The pair faced off in early October when the fight controversially ended as a no-contest. Daukaus had originally submitted Holland, only for it to be declared a no-contest following a video review. The video review concluded that a clash of heads saw the #14 ranked middleweight fall to the canvas before being submitted.

The rematch was then agreed upon almost immediately following the fight. But it will now have to wait until at least next year with the fighter nicknamed ‘Big Mouth’ by Dana White sidelined until the new year.
