- Erisson Ferreira De Silva defeats Qiu Lun via Unanimous Decision – (29-28 x3)
- Jonas Bilharinho defeats Canaan Kawaihae via TKO – Round 3 (4:00)
- Juan Puerta defeats Shang Zhifa via Split Decision – (29-28 x2, 28-29)
Yohan Lainesse took home the first of two contracts in the season five finale of Dana White’s Contender Series. Lainesse made the easiest work of his opponent out of the five winners. He ended up securing a brutal knockout finish in less than two minutes against then-undefeated, Justin Burlinson. Now the Cage Fury FC welterweight champion will look to bring his perfect record to the UFC. With six of his eight wins coming by way of KO/TKO, the 170-pound division has just welcomed a very fun addition to the roster.
The first Chinese fighter in DWCS history to earn a contract was given to none other than one-half of the main event, Maheshate. From the opening bell, this fight between Maheshate and Achilles Estremadura had violence written all over it. Maheshate was dropped twice in the first round, yet found a way to battle back and take control of the ladder two rounds. He landed a vicious flying knee around the midway point of the fight and from there never looked back. With crisp, technical striking and a very strong chin, Maheshate will look to carry his six-fight win streak directly into the deepest weight class in the sport, the UFC’s lightweight division.
