Scottish prospect Chris Duncan has signed with Cage Warriors following his recent loss on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Duncan was recently featured on the latest series of DWCS, where he came out on the wrong end of a TKO finish as he was defeated by Viacheslav Borshchev in the 2nd round, with his dream of making it into the UFC put on hold. The lightweight fighting out of Alloa, Scotland, will now look to make a name for himself in Cage Warriors before potentially making it into the UFC.

He has experience competing in significant promotions, having fought three times in Bellator, claiming three victories, all being first-round KO/TKOs. Before the COVID-19 pandemic put competing on hold for Duncan, the 28-year-old was unable to get a fight booked amongst the chaos. In total, he has had eight fights in his still-young career, winning seven by first-round finishes and his solo loss coming in October, from which he will look to bounce back.

Chris Duncan Is ‘The Problem’ for Cage Warriors’ Lightweight Division

The Scottish MMA prospect will now enter a competitive lightweight division in Europe’s largest MMA promotion. The Cage Warriors’ lightweight division features an array of talented fighters, including the current champion Joe McColganMehdi Ben Lakhdhar, Michael Figlak, and Max Rohskopf, to name a few. However, Duncan will certainly like the look of the challenge that now awaits him ahead of putting a run together towards competing for the title at 155lbs.

Next month, he could make his debut as part of the ‘Double Trouble’ event run by Cage Warriors, with CW131 and CW132 set to take place on consecutive nights. However, with little over a month to go, we may be made to wait just that little longer to see ‘The Problem’ back in action as he looks to right the wrongs of his DWCS performance.
