The Twins Can Make the Playoffs in 2022

Heading into the 2022 season it what seems to be a tightly contested AL Central, does Minnesota have what it takes to make the playoffs? Here are some reasons that they can do so.

1. The Offense

The Minnesota Twins have a really good offense when healthy, with stars such as Byron Buxton, Jorge Polanco, Miguel Sano, and Max Kepler. With Nelson Cruz now playing for the Tampa Bay Rays, the Twins will have to make up for the loss of power, but if the players listed above can perform well, it"ll be as if Cruz never left.

With the AL central adding some good pitchers, Minnesota will need the offense to stay in the hunt for a division title.

2. Pitching

The Twins pitching staff isn"t as stable as it once was. The Twins suffered injuries to Kenta Maeda and Randy Dobnak and had to rely on younger arms throughout the season. Pitching is one key aspect that the Twins need to address this season, as they do have one of the top pitching prospects in the league who might make his MLB debut next season.

The AL Central is one of the divisions in baseball in which pitching is key, especially with the high-powered offenses of the White Sox and Tigers. The Twins will need to address the pitching problems this offseason to have any success in 2022.

3. The AL Central

The AL Central going into 2022 looks to be anyones for the taking. Yes, the White Sox are the favorites to win, but with the other teams such as the Twins, Tigers, Royals, and the Guardians, anyone can claim it. The Twins can make a big push to win the division as long as they can figure out their pitching staff and the offense can stay healthy. Again, this division is anyone"s for the taking, but why not Minnesota"s?

4. Final Thoughts

With all the changes happening in the game today, I can see no reason why the Twins shouldn"t win the AL Central. They have the offense and the pitching when healthy, but they just need to remain healthy and who knows, maybe they can snap their playoff series losing streak.
