Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier is not only one of the best MMA fighters on the globe, but he is also one of the most charitable.
Poirier has long championed his charity “The Good Fight Foundation”, a non-profit organisation that raises money for his community by auctioning off fight gear. After fighting lightweight king Charles Oliveira at UFC 269, Dustin Poirier promised to donate $20,000 to a charity of Oliveira’s choosing.
It has now been close to a month since their clash, and Dustin Poirier took to Twitter to provide an update for fans.
Dustin Poirier’s Gives Update
The tweet explains that Poirier is simply waiting for Oliveira to decide where he wants the money to be donated and promises to honor his word. There is no response yet from Charles Oliveira but you can expect to see further updates when the donation is made.
Oliveira is actively involved in charity in his native land Brazil, where he is often seen giving out food packages to people in need. With both men so proactive in trying to change their communities for the better, here’s hoping each man continues to raise awareness and funds throughout their illustrious careers.
