Brian Moore will return to his home country of Ireland on Feb. 25 as part of the Bellator 275 main card.
Per a report from SevereMMA, Moore will step into the Bellator cage to face undefeated bantamweight Jornel Lugo.
Brian Moore (14-8 MMA, 5-4 Bellator MMA) last competed in his home country at Bellator 187 in 2017. At that event, he faced the now featherweight champion AJ McKee. Moore started his Bellator career going 2-3 before winning three straight against Son Le Binh, Simone D’Anna and Jordan Winski.
In his most recent appearance for the promotion, Moore dropped a unanimous decision loss to Nikita Mikhailov. The Wexford native will look to get back in the win column against a very tough opponent.
A Tough Task Ahead
Jornel Lugo (7-0 MMA, 4-0 Bellator MMA) has yet to taste defeat in his professional MMA career. Since making his promotional debut at Bellator 232, Lugo has earned 4 straight victories inside the Bellator cage.
Last time we saw Lugo in the cage, he defeated Keith Lee via submission at Bellator 265 in August. Currently listed at #9 on Bellator MMA’s bantamweight rankings, a win could not only improve his position in the top 10, it could also make a case for being an alternate in the Bantamweight Grand Prix later this year.
Bellator 275 takes place on Feb. 25 live from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The event will be headlined by a middleweight title fight when Gegard Mousasi puts his championship on the line against Austin Vanderford.
Other bouts currently scheduled for the event include:
- Kane Mousah vs. Peter Queally
- Sinead Kavanagh vs. Leah McCourt
- Davy Gallon vs. Charlie Leary
- Darragh Kelly vs. Junior Morgan
- Danni Neilan vs. Stephanie Page
- Brett Johns vs. Khurshed Kakhorov
Card subject to change.
