The Ultimate Fighting Championship kick off their 2022 season and return to the Apex centre in Las Vegas after a four-week break with a banger of a main event featuring featherweights Calvin Kattar and Giga Chikadze.
Calvin Kattar returns to action after a long haul of inactivity dating back to January of 2021, when he suffered a tremendous beatdown from Max Holloway in Abu Dhabi. However, Kattar looked extremely dangerous before the loss, picking up victories over Dan Ige, Jeremy Stephens, and Ricardo Lamas.
An inform Giga Chikadze welcomes the American back to the Octagon after his year away, which is an extremely tough ask for Kattar. Chikadze is currently riding a nine-fight win streak, with his recent victory coming over Edson Barboza, who he knocked out in round three of their contest.
Taking the co-main event slot is heavyweights Chase Sherman and Jake Collier. Jennifer Maia and Katlyn Chookagian also battle it out to catapult themselves back into title contention. The night also sees Dana White’s Contender Series contract winners Joseph Holmes, Joanderson Brito and Viacheslav Borschev debuting with the promotion.
