ONE Championship has assembled a mega-card this February 25 inside the Singapore Stadium as three world titles will be on the line, along with an epic rubber match.
In the main event, ONE Welterweight World Champion Kiamrian Abbasov will be moving up to the Middleweight division to challenge the reigning titleholder, Reinier de Ridder, for his crown.
The “Dutch Knight” de Ridder is fresh off his light heavyweight triumph over Aung La N Sang to become the latest two-weight world champion. Meanwhile, Abbasov successfully defended his title against James Nakashima.
Another title that will be up for grabs is the ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Title where Roman Kryklia will be challenged by Murat Aygun. This is going to be Kryklia’s maiden title defense after being the inaugural champion in 2018.
The third title on the line for the card is the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai championship of Petchmorakot Petchyindee. He is set to defend it against the number-one ranked contender, Jamal Yusupov.
Both athletes will finally face each other after a two-year wait due to Yusupov’s injury in 2020. The champion and the challenger are riding their respective consecutive wins.
On top of the three titles that will be defended on the night is the highly-anticipated trilogy match of Aung La N Sang and Vitaly Bigdash. The pair were both former ONE Middleweight champions and the winner could potentially get another crack at the coveted gold.
Bigdash unanimously scored a win over N Sang in their first showdown in January 2017, but the “Burmese Python” exacted revenge months in the rerun to dethrone Vitaly and become Myanmar’s first-ever world champion in history.
