UFC London has been packed so far with exciting bouts and thrilling finishes, and Arnold Allen did not disappoint with his victory over Dan Hooker.
Almost immediately, the fight started with a bang. After trading a few strikes, Allen would near-instantly find the opportunity to swarm. Hooker hung tough, and despite the referee looking mere moments away from stopping the contest, “The Hangman” rallied back for a short while.

The comeback wouldn’t remain true for Hooker though. Arnold Allen would land a beautiful 1-2 that opened up the door for a massive head kick. This had “The Hangman” severely wobbling and shelling up. Allen applied the pressure with a flurry of vicious strikes and this time, the referee would stop the fight.
Arnold Allen Calls Out Calvin Kattar
“I know how hard I hit, I know how good of a striker I am. I know I have some decisions, but I knock people out…” Allen would say in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping.
“I’m top five now for sure,” Allen would continue. “What are we thinking, Calvin Kattar? I think that would be a fight people want to see.”
In a back-stage interview during the UFC Post Show, Allen elaborated on the callout. Saying he was offered the fight last year but had a broken hand at the time. “Obviously he just had a huge win over Giga (Chikadze),” Allen said. “And I don’t see why not. We’ll do another main event soon…”
“Almighty” has now improved his record to 18-1, and is 9-0 in the UFC. With this thrilling victory over Dan Hooker on his record, a fight with Calvin Kattar could indeed “make sense”.
Kattar has gone 7-3 in the UFC since joining back in 2017 and has fought a “who’s who” of the featherweight division. There have been massive wins for him, and tragic losses. Most famously, Kattar put his chin and heart on display as former champ Max Holloway would set striking records on him. Landing an astounding 447 total strikes on “The Boston Finisher” who hung tough to reach the decision.
