There’s a heavyweight takeover on the European continent. Blaydes vs. Aspinall is set for a London showdown while Tai Tuivasa vs. Ciryl Gane is being linked to the main event for the UFC’s debut in France. Both contests are pivotal to the division, as both could be title-shot eliminators.

Curtis Blaydes vs. Tom Aspinall Is Set To Give Fans a Barn Burner

Since losing to Derrick Lewis in February of 2021, Blaydes (16-3-1 MMA, 11-3-1 UFC) has rattled off two back-to-back victories. The fourth-ranked heavyweight followed up his loss by defeating Jairzinho Rozenstruik by decision and most recently, stunning the UFC Columbus crowd by finishing Chris Daukaus via strikes in the 2nd round in late March. Blaydes will look to extend his win streak to three by defeating the surging hot-Aspinall who is undefeated in the UFC.

Undefeated in the UFC and the sixth-ranked heavyweight, Aspinall (12-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) is riding a wave of momentum at the moment and is set to headline his second consecutive main event in London.

The England native is currently on an eight-fight winning streak with all five of his UFC victories coming by way of finish and four in the first round. Aspinall last defeated Alexander Volkov by submission in the first round of the main event in the UFC’s return to London, last March. Aspinall will be looking to join an elite group as only Derrick Lewis and current champ Francis Ngannou have been able to defeat Blaydes in his MMA career.
