ONE Championship returns on Friday, May 20 with ONE 157 featuring the beginning of their Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix and two highly anticipated Muay Thai championship bouts.

Emanating from the Singapore Indoor Stadium, ONE 157 will also feature the return of Muay Thai superstar Rodtang and the MMA debut of Wondergirl Fairtex.

Before the fighters can step into the cage, they must first step on the scale and, per ONE Championship rules, pass a pre-fight hydration test. Did all fighters successfully make weight for ONE’s return on Friday?

Two Fighters Miss Weight at the ONE 157 Weigh Ins

Strawweight Muay Thai champion Prajanchai PK. Saenchai weighed in one pound over the 125 pound limit for his championship bout with Joseph Lasiri. Saenchai also failed the pre-fight hydration test which monitors hydration levels to prevent dangerous weight-cutting practices.

Saenchai will have the opportunity to weigh in at noon local time the day of the event. If Saenchai weighs in heavy for a second time, the bout will be renegotiated as a catchweight contest or canceled altogether.

Also coming in overweight was India’s Asha Roka. Scheduled to face Alyse Anderson, Roka came in one pound over ONE Championship’s atomweight limit. She will also have the opportunity to weigh in on the day of the event and pass a hydration test.

Jonathan Haggerty and Walter Goncalves are currently scheduled to meet in the Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix Quarter-Final at ONE 157, but neither fighter weighed in on Thursday. ONE provided no explanation but confirmed that both fighters will have the opportunity to weigh in on Friday morning.
