Reports indicate that Paul Pogba to Juventus is a done deal, with a full agreement reported to have been completed. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is sealed and done and is to be fully signed around the early days of July.
Pogba, who was intially in the books of Manchester United before joining Juventus for free in 2012, joined Manchester united from Juventus On the 8th of August 2016 on a five-year contract for a then-record for highest football transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million) plus bonuses of €5 million. This surpassed the former record holder Gareth Bale, who joined Real Madrid from Tottenham for €100.8 million (£85.1 million) three years prior.
In the last two years, Juventus have performed below the high standards they set in recent years, finishing 4th in Serie A in both the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 seasons. These back to back 4th place finishes are preceded by a stunning run of 9 first place finishes dating all the way back to the 2011/2012 season.
Pogba is a great addition for the Old Lady, as his presence, skills and experience will elevate their midfield. With the Pogba deal done, Juve are looking to add more names to their books to bolster their squad.
