The Toronto Blue Jays adding more MLB All-Stars to their list of representing players, as starting pitcher Alek Manoah has been selected to the American League All-Star team, his first MLB All-Star selection. Also joining him will be Outfielder George Springer who has also been selected, earning his fourth All-Star game honour. 

The Toronto Blue Jays have been fortunate enough to have right-handed pitcher Alek Manoah and his impressive play for the Blue Jays since he made his debut in 2021. The six-foot-six right-hander made the Blue Jays’ decision for them at the end of spring training heading into the 2021 campaign. His lights-out performances in grapefruit league action propelled him into a starting role for Toronto to begin last season. Alek Manoah would rise to the occasion as he finished with a 9-2 record in 20 starts in 2021, he had 127 strikeouts, and a 3.22 earned run average.

Ring in the 2022 season and Alek Manoah returned to the starting rotation and solidified himself immediately. An impressive first half of the 2022 season has Alek Manoah on route to his first MLB All-Star Game thanks to his 9-4 record with the Blue Jays and his stellar 2.34 earned run average In 17 starts, the six-foot-six righty has 97 strikeouts in 107 innings of work. 

The Blue Jays have struggled with their starting pitching rotation for the last few years. Having a one-two punch but is unable to establish a full five-man rotation for a full season. Alek Manoah has proclaimed Toronto with a reliable and consistent workload each outing. The Blue Jays will hope to have Manoah for years to come.

George Springer has earned his fourth MLB All-Star honour as he has been selected to join the American League All-Star team. George Springer signed the richest contract in Blue Jays history and he has been proving why he is worth every penny. The centerfielder has 17 home runs including the most lead-off home runs, he has a .250 batting average in 288 at-bats in 2022. The eight-year veteran has brought his game on the defensive side as well making multiple highlight-reel catches and providing nonstop excitement for Toronto Blue Jays fans.

George Springer was the over-the-top piece the Blue Jays needed to complement their high-powered young talent on the roster. The six-foot-three outfielder has brought his veteran experience into a young clubhouse, clearly well respected and liked by his teammates. George Springer is the fourth Toronto Blue Jays player selected to the 2022 MLB All-Star Game.
