Former UFC fighter turned Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star Paige VanZant is going from the squared circle to the silver screen.
BKFC’s Paige VanZant Goes From Squared Circle to Silver Screen
While there are very few details on the film itself, ‘12 Gauge’ confirmed that it is a horror film produced by combat sports promotion Triller who, in February, obtained a majority stake in BKFC.
“It’s going to be a horror movie – so all the horror fans can get ready for it,” said VanZant while speaking to The Sun.

Paige VanZant discussed details of the shooting and addressed if the foray into acting would have any effect on training for her return to the squared circle next month when BKFC heads to London for BKFC 27.
“I was really excited that they thought of me, it was an awesome experience. It was a quick three days, I made sure I condensed it to three days so that I wouldn’t miss very much training. I was able to train, because I have some amazing coaches in LA too. But yeah, it’s an awesome new movie.”
Paige VanZant Would ‘Love to Continue to Act’
Since exiting the UFC in 2020, VanZant has stayed busy, signing with Bare Knuckle FC shortly after her exit from the Octagon. She has also made regular appearances on All Elite Wrestling and continues to be a popular figure through her social media channels. ‘12 Gauge’ admits she never considered a career in acting, but after just a few days on the set, the photogenic brawler is more than willing to entertain offers.
“I really hadn’t had anything on my mind about acting at this second, just because I have my fight coming up. But I would love to continue to act, I had a great time. This was my first movie role and it was honestly an amazing experience. I only got to be there three days, which is unfortunate because I fell in love with the cast, they were super special and all very nice.”
‘12 Gauge’ is still looking for her first win under the BKFC banner. VanZant’s next appearance in the squared circle will be against Charisa Sigala on August 20th.
