Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) appears to have landed a television deal according to a notice that was sent out to the promotion’s fighters.

According to Anthony Orozco, an employee of BKFC, the promotion has immediately banned fighters from being sponsored by companies that sell CBD and marijuana dispensaries. The notice which can be seen on Facebook also confirms that the promotion has a “new TV deal in place.”

“With our new tv deal in place it is prohibited to wear or advertise any CBD or marijuana company/product on any upcoming BKFC show. That means fighters/corners cannot have a CBD or marijuana company name or logo on the shirts, shorts, banner, hat, robe, walkout apparel, etc during any official BKFC event to include press conferences, weigh-in ceremonies, backstage warm-up areas, walkouts, ringside, etc.”

BKFC President David Feldman confirmed the existence of a television deal in the comments of the post saying, “We have a TV deal that won’t allow it.” No official announcement has been made by the promotion as to who the deal is with, but this is a big win for BKFC and likely explains the promotion’s recent slew of new signings.

BKFC Adds Multiple Notable Talents Ahead of Anticipated TV Deal

BKFC has made some big signings recently and now it appears that a television deal is likely the reason why. The promotion signed Muay Thai legends Buakaw Banchamek and Saenchai with the former scheduled to compete at BKFC Thailand 3 on September 3rd.

Other recent signees include former UFC competitors John Dodson and Felice Herrig. Already part of the BKFC family is former UFC prospect turned bare-knuckle brawler and OnlyFans star Paige VanZant and fan favorite ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry. Both ’12 Gauge’ and Perry are scheduled to return to the squared circle on August 20th when the promotion invades London.

‘Platinum’ will face Bellator MMA star Michael ‘Venom’ Page in a massive crossover contest. VanZant meets popular scrapper Charisa Sigala who had a legendary war with Taylor Starling at the inaugural Knucklemania event. The bout went down as one of the 10 craziest bare-knuckle fights in the promotion’s history.
