When ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry heads to London for BKFC 27, he not only expects a hostile crowd at Ovo Arena Wembley, he’s hoping for it.

The outspoken striker from Flint, Michigan will make the long trip across the pond to compete in the highly anticipated main event which features two stars from two different organizations crossing over. London native and Bellator MMA star Michael ‘Venom’ Page will take on former UFC competitor turned BKFC brawler Mike Perry.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Perry discussed the upcoming bout saying, “This is one of the biggest fights in my opinion.” When asked if ‘Platinum’ meant it would be one of the biggest fights of all time, Perry confirmed saying:

“Yeah, I mean for the fans that love fighting, I go in there and do what it do. I get angry and I try to take a guy out. MVP is flashy. He tries to take a guy out and, you know, I’m trying to touch that line too. Flashy, angry, try to keep my cool, but I’m always so aggressive because I have that in my back pocket, that ferocity. I gotta be able to take it and give it.”

Mike Perry also revealed that he is excited about walking into hostile territory, taking on one of England’s favorite mixed martial artists in his hometown.

“Man, [the hostile crowd] fires me up! Gets my blood boiling and I’m pumped to go out there and put on the show,” Mike says, adding, “I hope they’re throwing violent slurs at me and like, you know, just trying to really get me in the zone for the fight.”

Mike Perry Expects Michael Page to ‘Break’ in Their BKFC London Showdown

Never one to mince words, Mike Perry believes that he will break Michael Page in their main-event clash and guarantees a knockout is inevitable.

“I’m expecting him to break eventually and if he doesn’t, we can be in the sixth sudden death round and I’m gonna knock him out at some point. It will be the first two minutes or the last two minutes, I’m gonna knock him out!”

In an interview with MMA Junkie, ‘Venom’ shared his thoughts on jumping into the deep end, facing Perry in his first foray into bare-knuckle boxing.

“He’s a beast, yeah, he’s great,” Page said. “I’m not going to work my way up, so it’s going to have to be the guys at the top. … I know he’s a tough guy. He’s a true warrior. Bare-knuckle definitely suits him, but that kind of style usually suits me as well. I’m just looking forward to putting on a spectacle for everyone that’s going to come.”

The stars of BKFC predicted who they believe will be the winner in London’s main event on August 20th. You can read the predictions here.
