Following Tyson Fury’s surprising retirement announcement on his 34th birthday, BKFC President Dave Feldman is already looking to bring the boxing icon into the world of bare-knuckle brawls.

Touted by ESPN as the world’s best active heavyweight boxer, Fury called it quits in a post on Twitter.

“Massive thanks to everyone who had an input in my career over the years & after long hard conversations (I’ve) finally decided to walk away & on my 34th birthday I say bon voyage,” Fury wrote.

Tyson Fury has previously expressed interest in competing in high-profile exhibition bouts against names including UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and Thor Bjornsson. It now appears that Fury will have another offer on the table from BKFC President Dave Feldman. Speaking with talkSPORT, Feldman confirmed the promotion’s immediate interest in bringing the decorated heavyweight world champion to the squared circle.

“I think it [signing Tyson Fury] is definitely possible, if they take us seriously because we are the new kid on the block, they might not listen to us. If they listen to us, then absolutely I think we can get a deal done,” Feldman said.

“He absolutely is on our radar; he would take this sport to a whole different level. You just saw it at Wembley Stadium with almost 100,000 people in there.

“I think Tyson Fury would take this to a whole other level and we would absolutely love to make a play for him.”

Over the last year, the promotion has significantly stacked its roster by adding former UFC talents such as Paige VanZant, Felice Herrig, Rachael Ostovich, John Dodson, Chad Mendes, and Ben Rothwell, and Greg Hardy. BKFC also made headlines when they signed Muay Thai legends Buakaw Banchamek and Saenchai.

On Saturday night, BKFC London will feature a first-of-its-kind crossover as the promotion’s ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry will face Bellator MMA fan favorite Michael ‘Venom’ Page. News of the crossover immediately sent a buzz through the MMA community with fans and fighters predicting who will win the cross-promotional main event.
