It is almost time for UFC 278 in Salt Lake City Utah, so we have prepared a handy UFC 278 betting guide to help you pick out a winner or two on the night. Headlined by reigning welterweight champion and pound-for-pound contender Kamaru Usman taking on England’s Leon Edwards, it looks sure to produce fireworks.

UFC 278 Betting: Underdogs With a Chance

Every card has its share of underdog winners, and we have tried to pick out some of the guys and girls we think have the best chance to upset the oddsmakers.

Ange Loosa – +130

Ange Loosa is being chronically undervalued here, and I don’t see many tipping him as a winner almost anywhere. Loosa made his UFC debut just two weeks after a 15-minute win over John Howard, not optimal at all. A large and powerful welterweight, he still managed to go the distance with Mounir Lazzez. AJ Fletcher, his opponent, is a tough fight, but he has some sloppy exits that can be punished by someone like Switzerland’s Loosa.

Yanan Wu – +100

Yanan Wu may not look to have the greatest record on paper, but she is a UFC-level fighter. She managed to go the distance with dangerous finisher Mayra Bueno Silva, something Wu has become all too used to. In Lucie Pudilova though, Wu may have found someone she can finally take home the win against. The pullover was previously cut from the UFC back in 2020 having lost four straight. After amassing a 5-1 record in the OKTAGON promotion, she returns at UFC 278. Look for Wu to be the sharper and more aggressive out of the two as she tries to make Pudlova’s return an uncomfortable one.

Jose Aldo – +110

Jose Aldo is an underdog against Merab and I have no idea why. The King of Rio, as well as takedown defense, is riding a three-fight win streak over some of the division’s toughest competitors. Marlon “Chito” Vera, Pedro Munhoz, and Rob Font have all fallen by the wayside, so why should Merab Dvalishvili be different?

Beating a Marlon Moraes on route to being cut, or John Dodson does not give you an advantage over former featherweight champion Jose Aldo, in one UFC 278 betting guide’s opinion.

UFC 278 Betting: Parlay

If you prefer a longer running ticket for your money, we have you covered. In this UFC 278 betting parlay, we take some smaller-priced bets and try to gain a larger windfall than betting them separately.
