UFC Charlotte was this past Saturday on ABC television, it was certainly an eventful card as seven of the scheduled eleven bouts were finishes and five in the first round. See below for Results, Suspensions, and Roster Cuts following the event.

Roster Cuts and Suspensions

As reported by UFC Roster Watch, three fighters have been cut from the active UFC roster, or their contracts were completed and not renewed by the UFC following UFC Charlotte. The three fighters cut were Jessica-Rose Clark, Ji Yeon Kim, and Chase Sherman. MMA Fighting later confirmed the news.

All three fighters lost at the UFC on ABC 4 event this past weekend. Rose-Clark (11-9-1 MMA) is 0-3 in her last three bouts following her loss to Lisboa and went 4-5 during her five-year+ tenure with the UFC. Yeon Kim lost to Mandy Bohm by Split Decision in a closely contested fight. Kim (9-7-2 MMA) is 0-5 in her last five and amassed a record of 3-7 during her nearly six-year run with the company.

Chase Sherman (16-12 MMA) is now 1-6 in his last seven bouts after losing to Karl Williams last Saturday. This was Sherman’s second stint in the UFC. During Sherman’s initial run with the company, he went 2-5, Sherman then returned to Square Ring Promotions, going 3-0, and won by first-round TKO in all three to earn another contract with the UFC in 2020. Sherman went on to win only two of his eight bouts in his second stint with the UFC. “The Vanilla Gorilla” has an overall record of 4-11 in the UFC.
