OTH- Daily Odds 7/24/19 is part of a daily series providing you with the odds for all major sports playing that day.

2:10 Reds @ Brewers – How many people had Cincinnati coming into Milwaukee and taking the first two games of this series? Probably not that many. Things won’t get any easier tonight for Milwaukee as they send Jhoulys Chacin to the mound. Milwaukee has lost thirteen of his last sixteen starts. He has only been able to go six innings or more in four of those starts, and he has seen his ERA rise from 4.22 to 5.67. In his last start, he didn’t last three innings and gave up seven runs. The Reds will send youngster Lucas Sims to the mound. He got the win in his only career start giving up four runs in 7 and ⅓ innings in a May start against Pittsburgh. The Reds bats finally seem to be getting hot and with Jhoulys Chacin on the mound, it could be another long day for Milwaukee.

Reds +140

3:40 Rangers @ Mariners – Which pitcher named Mike will prevail tonight? The Rangers send Mike Minor to the mound-a pitcher that many teams have on their trade radar. Minor has gone 0-1 in his last three starts, even though he never gave up more than four runs in any of those starts. In two starts against Seattle this season, he is 2-0 and gave up only three runs in 13 innings. In addition, his two highest strikeout games this season (13 and 11) came against Seattle. Seattle sends Mike Leake to the mound tonight.  In two of his last five starts, he gave up no runs. In another two of his five starts, he gave up at least seven runs in each of them. Leake has lost both of his starts against Texas this season, and has given up nine runs and seven runs in those two starts. Look for the bad Leake to be out there tonight, and for Texas to win this game.

Rangers -115

7:05 Rockies @ Nationals – In game two of the doubleheader, the Nats send Patrick Corbin to the mound. Corbin has given up three runs or less in each of his last six starts, with five of them being quality starts. In his last three home games, he has given up two runs in 21 innings of work. The Rockies send Kyle Freeland to the mound in game 2. Freeland is 2-7 on the season with a 7.62 ERA. He has given up at least five runs in his last four starts, and six of his last eight starts. Look for the Nats to get to him early and take care of business in game 2 tonight.

Nationals -1.5 -135

7:05 Cardinals @ Pirates – The Cardinals are inching even closer to the NL Central division lead. With the Cubs and Brewers struggling, they’ve picked a great time to rattle off six wins in their last seven games. The Pirates are sending Jordan Lyles to the mound and they have lost his last seven starts. His ERA has risen from 2.81 to 4.91 over those seven starts. The Cardinals counter with Adam Wainwright and he will be looking to rebound after a bad start last time out. Even though his last start against Cincinnati was bad, the Cardinals have won all three of his July starts. With the Cardinals playing well and the Pirates struggling since the All Star Break, look for the Cardinals to keep rolling tonight.

Cardinals – 105

7:07 Indians @ Blue Jays – One of the big starting pitchers that have been mentioned in trade talks for many teams is Marcus Stroman. He gets the ball tonight against Cleveland. On the season, he is 2-6 at home with a 3.47 ERA. He squares off against Shane Bieber, who has been very good on the road this season. He sports a 6-2 record in nine starts on the road and has a 3.19 ERA. The Indians have won his last four starts and he has been exceptional in his last two road starts, as he has given up two runs and seven hits in sixteen innings of work. Look for the Indians to win tonight’s game and avoid losing two in a row to the Jays.

Indians -125

10:10 Angels @ Dodgers – It seems the the Angels may have the Dodgers number this season, as they have gone 3-0 against them. With Jaime Barria on the mound, it’s gonna be really tough to make it 4-0. Barria has been very inconsistent this season. He has yet to give up more than one run at home this season. On the road, however, he has been much worse. In his four road starts this season, he has given up 23 runs in 15 and ⅓ innings, including giving up ten runs in his last start at Seattle. The Dodgers are starting Ross Stripling, who has been okay since coming back to the rotation. With the inconsistency of Barria, I don’t see the Dodgers losing four straight to the Angels. Take the Dodgers tonight.

Dodgers -1.5 -105

Since only 4 of the 16 games today have a team that is +150 or worse, and we don’t like any of them we today, we have removed our Flier pick and replaced with with a couple of other picks.

3:40 Orioles @ Diamondbacks – The Orioles have been playing better baseball in the last week. They split a two game set with Washington, then took two out of three against Boston, and now are looking to get a series win in Arizona. They send their rookie All-Star, John Means, to the mound to get that series victory. He has given up two earned runs or less in six of his last seven starts, going 3-1 in those starts. Baltimore has won four of his last six starts. Arizona sends Taylor Clarke to the hill and he has struggled in June and July. After having two quality starts in May, Clarke hasn’t been able to go more than five innings in any of his seven starts in June and July. In those seven starts, he only has one win and his ERA has risen from 4.67 to 6.50. Look for Means to be good enough to take down Clarke tonight.

Orioles +120

8:10 Marlins @ White Sox – Most pitchers love to pitch at home. That is not the case for Reynaldo Lopez of the White Sox. On the season, he is 3-4 with a 6.16 ERA at home. He has also given up at least five runs in each of his last three home starts. He has been much better on the road in recent games, but his home struggles have continued. Today he squares off against Zac Gallen, who is looking for his first career win. Gallen is 0-2 on the season, but he has given up two runs or less in four of his five starts, and he hasn’t given up more than five hits in a game. Look for Gallen to take advantage of Lopez’ home woes and get his first career win.

Marlins +100

8:00 Fiorentina vs Benfica – Fiorentina +.5 +120
