Cleveland Cavaliers Sign Forward Jarell Martin

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed another player, but this time, it is not a guard. Jarell Martin is yet another young player that the Cavs have brought in. The 25 year old spent his first four years in the league with the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic. Martin stands at six feet, ten inches. He can shoot the ball well, and can push the ball down the floor. Martin will fit well in coach Beilein’s system.

Martin has spent his career in and out of the G League. Since being the 25th pick in the 2015 draft, he’s averaged 5.4 PPG and 3.5 RPG in 15.9 MPG. He hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations, but he should be another player that receives decent playing time on the Cavs. Cleveland brought him on to serve as the third power forward behind Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr.

Martin has a lot to prove, similar to other players on the Cavalier roster. This team is going to be hungry, with a lot of competition. The Cavs are an unproven team and look to surprise people this year. It will be an exciting year for fans, in part because nobody knows what to expect.
