NCAAF: Pre-Season FBS Rankings

College football is right around the corner with week zero kicking things off Saturday, August 24th. We will be spending the next week breaking down our thoughts on all 130 FBS teams, and where we have them ranked in our OTH pres season poll.

#130 – 110

130. Connecticut: Defense was a talking point last year, and unfortunately, that doesn’t change. Sorry Husky fans someone has to be last. Prediction: 1-11

129. UMASS: I think they will win a game or two early on with a soft first few weeks. Prediction: 3-9

128. New Mexico State: Just making it through Washington and Alabama alive after weeks one and two is a victory?! Prediction: 3-9

127. Texas State: Strong Conference play is the only hope for salvaging the season. Prediction: 2-10

126. Rice: Brutal first six games sees them facing a gauntlet ofArmy, Baylor, and Texas. Got to have a strong second half of the year, but I doubt they can do that with this squad. Prediction: 2-10

125. San Jose State: Should be a season to forget for San Jose but a few games could go their way. Prediction: 2-10

124. UTEP: What can I say they are severely depleted in all departments. Pred: 1-11

123. Ball State: Look for a few wins midway through the year. Not much outside of that. Prediction: 4-8

122. New Mexico: Their week three rivalry against New Mexico State is exciting? That might be the only exciting part of their season. Prediction: 3-9

121. Rutgers: It is rare to see a power five squad so low, but the Scarlett Knights are in full rebuild mode. Prediction: 3-9

120. Akron: Look for a slight improvement with a favourable schedule for the Zips. Prediction: 5-7

119. Charlotte: Not many winnable games on their schedule and a date with preseason National Champion favourite Clemson. Prediction: 3-9

118. Texas San Antonio: With games against Army and a couple of power five teams adds to a strong in conference slate. Prediction: 4-8

117. Bowling Green: At least playing at Notre Dame will be an exciting experience. Right? Prediction: 3-9

116. Western Kentucky: First two games are winnable. After that, the Hilltoppers will have to surprise a few teams to grab some wins. Prediction: 4-8

115. Tulsa: Hard schedule highlighted by Michigan State. Prediction: 3-9

114. Illinois: Not the lowest-ranked power five schools, but a bottomed dweller in the Big10. Prediction: 4-8

113. East Carolina: Rough waters ahead for the pirates with a strong schedule. Prediction: 3-9

112. Central Michigan: Don’t rely on another crazy finish like Oklahoma State. Prediction: 3-9

111. Kansas: Things are looking up with a new AD and head coach in Les Miles. Just not this soon. Prediction: 5-7

110. SMU: They lost a lot of production including senior quarterback Ben Hicks. Prediction: 4-8
