Jorge Masvidal Teases Boxing Debut
Jorge Masvidal is the first ever “BMF” with his win over Nate Diaz, due to stoppage after three domination rounds by Masvidal. Experiencing something exclusively, being strapped by “The Rock” Johnson.
Masvidal has had an amazing year in the UFC and he continues to be on the rise. As a result, Jorge is looking to take his fighting career on a little detour. A detour which we have only seen the famous Conor Mcgregor venture into.
The Knowledge Behind It
In a Monday interview, Jorge Masvidal stated that he is “dead serious” in wanting to take on the highly talented Canelo Alvarez. Jorge said he had learned a lot of things as he witnessed Mcgregor and Floyd Mayweather go at it in the ring back in 2017.
Masvidal believes he can be a “legitimate threat” in the ring and could “bring elements that boxers isn’t used to.” Since the aftermath of Mcgregor vs Mayweather, we’ve seen boxers struggle to pick up and read the hands of a MMA type fighter. That’s what Masvidal picked up on and will be looking to bring knockout power.
Proving him Wrong
Jorge however, certainly means no disrespect in regards to Canelo. Calling him a “beast and “a stud”. Probably the thing he said on MMA that got in Masvidal’s head was that “no MMA fighter would be a challenge”.
Could we ever see Jorge Masvidal enter the ring? Will fans get behind this fight if it ever happens? As a result, will another MMA star make a statement in the boxing world? Come join the discussion on our MMA section and forums.
