The Portland Trailblazers have signed Carmelo Anthony to a non-guaranteed contract; league sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski. After several failed attempts to recruit Melo to Portland, Damian Lillard finally gets to suit up with the former star. At 4-8, and CJ McCollum in a shooting slump of sorts, the Blazers are in desperate need of another proven scorer. If Melo can contribute in a 20-25 minute per game role, Portland may be able to turn their season around.
After posting 13 points and 5 rebounds per game for Houston, the Rockets waived Melo abruptly. He now looks to salvage what’s left of his career. Hopefully, he can have a productive impact on this team and change the narrative that has been created.
