Chicago Bulls 2020 Mock Draft
2020 Chicago Bulls Mock Draft: Overall the Bulls have the 8th worst record in the league putting them in the lottery. I randomized the Lottery and the Bulls ended up with the 4th pick in the first round. In the Second round as of now Chicago would have the 36th pick.
Players already gone
- Pistons – Anthony Edwards
- Pelicans – James Wiseman
- Cavaliers – RJ Hamton
Bulls Needs: fundamentally sound players, a dynamic pg that can take that starting spot, A consistent scorer, someone that can spread the floor
Players I would have on my Big Board for the 4th pick:
- PG LaMelo Ball. Illawarra Hawks (NBL)
- SF Deni Avdija, Maccabi Tel Aviv
- PG Nico Mannion, Arizona
- PG Theo Maledon, ASVEL (France)
- Possible trade?
It wouldn’t be a bad idea in trade to maybe get another 2nd round pick to swap our 4th pick for the 7th-8th pick. We could get Maledon at 7-8th which would be a perfect fit for our team. So I would put feelers out there but for now I’m going to keep that 4th pick.
Final 2 on my Big Board for the 4th pick
- Pg- Lamelo Ball
- Sf- Deni Avdija
LaMelo talent wise is the best player available and he is dynamic in many ways. By draft time he may measure around 6’10 which will add to the intrigue around him. no matter how tall he gets he is a natural at pg. He has played some SG in the NBL and he struggled. Because he needs the ball in his hands to really show off his skill set. Melo is one of my favorite players in this draft class and i believe his game will transition well to the NBA.
However, I’m not a big fan of Lamelo and Zach Lavine being in the back court together. I feel they have to many similarities and wouldn’t compliment each other well. Cole Anthony and Theo Maledon are more so the type of pg we would want next to Lavine
I would Lean more towards Deni Avdija because of these reasons:
- He is fundamentally sound
- Can play inside/out
- We just drafted Colby White to be our PG with the 7th pick in the 2019 draft so unless we could get someone like Cole Anthony I would look to strengthen other positions first
- We struggle on the wing and lack consistency
After much discussion and scouting the Pick is in:
ADAM Silver: “With the 4th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. the Chicago Bulls select Deni Avdija from Maccabi Tel Aviv”
Deni would add consistency to Chicago and can be an integral part of the Bulls future. First season he may not make a big impact due to adjusting to the NBA style since he is coming from a international style of play. But year 2-3 is when he will make a huge leap and be one of the bulls core pieces. He and Lauri would be the start of a great front court.
Now with the 36th pick we will looks to really strengthen the bench.
- C- Charles Bassey, Western Kentucky
- C- Neemias Queta, Utah State
- Pg- Cassius Winston, Michigan State
- Pf/c Kerry Blackshear, Florida
- Pg- Kira Lewis, Alabama
There’s several ways we can go about this pick. We can add to our point guard depth being Valentine may be gone but it’s really not a big need of ours. The Center position is an area that we struggle in. We don’t have a true big man and that hurts on both sides of the floor.
The Bulls pick is in:
Mark Tatum: “with the 36th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select Neemias Queta From Utah State”
Neemias Queta has yet to play this season due to injury but this kid has shown promise. Freshman year he averaged 11 Ppg and 7 Rpg with vast improvements throughout the season. Neemias showed a big leap This past summer in the u-20 Fiba European championships averaging 15 ppg and 11 rpg. He is a prototypical rim protector that can give you immense paint presence. Neemias would add depth to the Bulls and it would allow Lauri Markennan to play by the perimeter where he thrives.
The Draft is now complete. Chicago Bulls 2020 Draft Picks:
- 4th: Deni Avdija
- 36th: Neemias Queta
The Bulls continue to struggle and the chemistry between the players and coaches is at an all time low. Most Bulls fans are hoping we see a coaching and front office change sooner than later. With these struggles The bulls chances of getting a top 3 pick continues to grow.
