Breaking: Ron Rivera Out in Carolina

Ron Rivera is out in Carolina. After 9 seasons as the Panthers Head Coach, the organization in Charlotte has decided to move on from Rivera. Rivera and the Panthers team has had a dreadful November, losing four straight games.

First, The Panthers were dealt a major blow with an injury to Cam Newton at the beginning of the year, and were forced to turn to rookie signal caller Kyle Allen.

Rivera led the Panthers to a NFC Championship, and a SuperBowl bid in 2016. He came up short of the Lombardi trophy with a loss to Denver 24-10.

“I believe this is the best decision for the long-term success of our team.”

Finally, Secondary coach Perry Fewell will assume the duties as Panthers interim Head Coach for the rest of the season. Fewell was once an interim head coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2009.

It shouldn’t take long for Rivera to spark interest from other NFL teams with his 14 years of professional experience. Rivera finishes his tenure with the Panthers with a 76-63-1 record.

This is still a breaking story, stay tuned as this article will be updated as we learn more from the firing of Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera.
