Start or Sit Week 15: Tight Ends brought to you by Overtime Heroics. Fantasy players that are clear starters will not be included in this article such as Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, and Michael Thomas. All the fantasy stats shown below will be based on a Point Per Reception (PPR) scoring format.
Start of the Week: Noah Fant vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Noah Fant broke out in a big way last week to the tune of four catches for 113 yards and a touchdown. Fant was finally able to showcase exactly why the Broncos selected him with a first-round selection last year. He flashed his athleticism and speed and he and Drew Lock showed some real chemistry. This week the Broncos get the Chiefs who are allowing over 14 points per game to opposing tight ends this season. Tight end is always a tough position to stream, but Fant is trending up and I really like his ceiling here.
Other Good Starts:
- Tyler Higbee vs. Dallas Cowboys
- Dallas Goedert vs. Washington Redskins
- David Njoku vs. Arizona Cardinals
Sit of the Week: Mark Andrews vs. New York Jets
Mark Andrews has been Lamar Jackson’s favorite target ever since Jackson took over as the starter. Well this week, both of these guys are banged up. Add in the fact that they are playing on Thursday Night Football and it seems like a recipe for disaster. Andrews practiced on Tuesday, but a snap count has been mentioned for him. Anytime you hear the phrase “snap count” during the fantasy playoffs, your first instinct should be to run.
I have not even mentioned the fact that the Jets are one of the best teams in football when it comes to shutting down tight ends. They are only allowing 8.8 points per game to opposing tight ends this year. That is good for second-best in the league.
You may have no choice but to start him, but if you can find someone to stream, do it.
Other Good Sits:
- Austin Hooper vs. San Francisco 49ers
- Kyle Rudolph vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- Jacob Hollister vs. Carolina Panthers
