Fear the Deer Digest: 12/5 – 12/12

Another week goes by, and it is another week that the Bucks DO NOT LOSE. Up to 16 wins in a row, the Bucks are on fire. This past week had two impressive wins for the Bucks as well. Last Friday, the Clippers went into Fiserv and ran out with their tails between their legs. Then on this Wednesday night, the Bucks beat the Pelicans without their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Both wins were impressive in their own right. To cover all three victories this week, the Fear the Deer Digest is back again. This time, however, instead of using GIFs to cover each game, I will be using a song to describe each game. I hope you all enjoy.

The Games

Los Angeles Clippers @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/6)

The Bucks swept the season series against the Clippers. (NBA.com)

Giannis had 27 points and 11 boards, and Middleton added in 17 points and 5 assists in what many had as a possible finals matchup. The Bucks were clearly the better team on Friday night, as they took their second win against the Clippers in the season series. Kawhi and PG came into Fiserv with aspirations of knocking off the beast in the east. The Greek Freak had other plans in what was the Bucks’ 14th straight victory.

The Song that Best Describes Friday Night’s Game: Hollywood’s Bleeding by Post Malone

Pretty self-explanatory here, but the Bucks took care of business at home, winning by 28. Safe to say Hollywood was Bleeding after the beating the Clippers took in Milwaukee.

Orlando Magic @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/9)

32, 15, and 8? Just MVP things. (NBA.com)

In their 15th straight victory, the Bucks faced a difficult task with the Magic. Nonetheless, the Bucks were led by Giannis’s 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists to victory. Khris Middleton also added in 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Bucks. The tall task in this one was stopping the duo of Terrence Ross and Evan Fournier, as the pair added up to 46 points between them. Milwaukee was able to overcome it as they took over down the stretch to take a W away from the Magic.

The Song that Best Describes Monday Night’s Game: Magic Man by Heart

It’s safe to say Giannis was the ‘Magic Man’ in this one. His 32 points paced the Bucks’ offense into their 15th straight victory.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/11)

SIXTEEN STRAIGHT (NBA.com)

No Giannis? No problem! Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton combined for 53 points in this one to hold off a feisty Pelicans team. For New Orleans, Ingram had 25 and J.J. Redick had 31, it wasn’t enough to hold off the Bucks in this one. In a spot start for Giannis who sat out of this one, Ersan Ilyasova added in 18 points for the Bucks, who seemingly cannot lose right now. 16 STRAIGHT VICTORIES! Bring on this next week of action!

The Songs that Best Describes Wednesday Night Game: Armed and Dangerous by Juice WRLD

Rest in Peace Juice WRLD.

What better song to talk about the Bucks than considering them ‘armed and dangerous’. Even without their MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks were still able to handle their business and beat up on a weak Pelicans team. That goes to show how well-armed and deep the Bucks’ roster is, and boy oh boy are they dangerous.

The Best Highlight From Each Game

Los Angeles Clippers @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/6)

Hang it in the Louvre. (@Bucks)
Another look at it. (@Bucks)

Orlando Magic @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/9)

Can’t stop him, can only hope to contain him. (@Bucks)

New Orleans Pelicans @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/11)

I didn’t think a George Hill – Robin Lopez pick and roll would be a top highlight either. But here we all are. (@Bucks)

Looking Ahead

Milwaukee Bucks @ Memphis Grizzlies (12/13)

In the Bucks’ first matchup against the Grizzlies, it will be in Memphis. On Friday night, Giannis and the Gang’s first look at rookies Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke (if healthy). Memphis are one of the bottom-tier teams in the West, the Bucks should have no problem continuing their win streak.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/14)

On Saturday night, the Bucks face off in a divisional matchup at home against Cleveland. Thus far this season, Milwaukee is 2-0 when playing the Cavaliers. Another bottom-tier team makes for a good chance for the Bucks to continue their winning streak.

Dallas Mavericks @ Milwaukee Bucks (12/16)

OH BOY, do we have an awesome matchup on Monday night! The Bucks get to see Luka for the first time this season. Two of this season’s NBA MVP candidates face off on the same floor. This is going to be awesome. The Bucks get another test at home to continue their streak. Be sure to tune into this one!

A Final Word

It’s the Bucks and nobody else as far as I am concerned. Giannis looks like the best player in the NBA right now. Middleton and Bledsoe are humming playing off of Giannis. On top of all that, the bench guys are stepping up and playing well. DiVincenzo, Hill, Ilyasova, and Connaughton have all been successful in their roles.

Like I said last week:

Be sure to check your closets and under your bed tonight, because the deer are coming, and you best be afraid. #FEARTHEDEER
