A Look at the Six Invitational 2020
As the Six Invitational grows closer and closer, eyes start to surround Montreal and the teams involved in the biggest event in the Rainbow Six Siege community. The Offline Group Stage begins this Friday on the 7th until the 9th. It will lead to the first days of the Offline Playoffs, between the 11th and the 12th. The last days of the playoffs and the finals will take up Valentine’s Day and the weekend from the 14th to the 16th. The top 2 finalists will fight for a record-breaking 3 million dollar prize pool. All matches, ranging from the Offline Group Stage to the Finals, will be live on Twitch and YouTube.
The Teams participating in the Six Invitation are the winners of the Six Major Raleigh Team Empire and the winners of the DreamHack Montreal Team SoloMid. Pro League Season 10 finalists include Natus Vincere, Giants Gaming, DarkZero Esports, Team Reciprocity, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FaZe Clan, Rogue, and Wildcard Gaming. Also included are Team Liquid, who are also in the Invitational due to being the winners of the OGA PIT Minor. BDS Esport, Fnatic, Spacestation Gaming and MIBR also have their names in the SI hat due to being winners of the online qualifiers from their region. (European, Asia Pacific, North American, and Latin America, respectively). In addition, the champions of the 2019 invitational, G2 Esports, will also make an appearance to defend their title.
The 16 teams vying for the title are split into 4 groups. 4 teams per group like in prior events. The groups are shown below:
The tournament will have a double-elimination bracket with a best of 3 format. The top 2 teams advancing to the playoffs.
