San Francisco has traded All-Pro defensive lineman, DeForest Buckner, to the Colts for the 13th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Buckner was named second-team All-Pro in 2019.

The Colts are no longer in play for a quarterback in the first round of the draft. The 49ers now own two first-round picks but do not possess a second, third, or fourth-round selection. Indianapolis just added a big piece at a position of need. They are reaching an agreement on an extension with DeForest Buckner to lock him up long-term. The deal will be worth about $21 million a year and make him the second-highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL behind Aaron Donald.

The Colts are in win-now mode and San Francisco ships out a key piece at their strongest position. 49ers will grab a young talent early on in this draft in April.
