With the 43rd pick of the 2020 NFL Draft the Chicago Bears select tight end Cole Kmet. Cole Kmet was a standout tight end for the Fighting Irish.
The Chicago Bears struggled at the tight end position last season greatly. Not a single tight end for the Bears had 100 receiving yards last season. The Bears now add two tight ends to their team with Jimmy Graham coming via free agency.
Cole Kmet impressed at the combine with great numbers all around. He had 43 receptions for 515 yards and six touchdowns for the green and gold. Now he should be slotted in to the ‘Y’ tight end role for the Bears with Graham likely being the ‘U.’ This now gives the Bears the flexibility to run a solid 12 personnel.
