With the 50th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select cornerback Jaylon Johnson. The Chicago Bears had a need at cornerback and added a physical strong corner to play opposite of Kyle Fuller.
Jaylon Johnson out of Utah is a strong, physical corner that can lock down wide receivers at the next level. Due to an injury, Johnson fell in the draft from being a potential first-round pick. He now falls into the Bears’ lap at pick 50. The Chicago Bears had a sort of a crapshoot at the starting cornerback-two position opposite of Fuller. Now, Johnson will compete with the likes of Kevin Toliver II, Artie Burns, and Tre Roberson.
This pick makes the Bears secondary better than last year as Johnson will be an upgrade from veteran Prince Amukamara who was cut after last season.
