The Browns schedule for next season is out. The Browns obviously face the Ravens twice. They also get to face number one pick Joe Burrow twice, putting the spotlight on the AFC North for the upcoming season. The total 2019 record for the 13 opponents on the Browns’ 2020 schedule is 118-138, a win percentage of .461. That gives the Browns the fourth-easiest schedule in the league. Here are some of the other highlights of the Browns schedule.
Bengals | Thursday Night Football | September 17, 2020 | 8:20 PM
Joe Burrow’s first prime time game comes against the Browns. While this game will be focused on the entire world seeing Burrow, this is the type of game the Browns need to win. Cincinnati is still in a rebuild mode and will be figuring out how it all works. After a tough opening game in Baltimore, this could be a must-win to avoid 0-2 and have the doubts from last year start creeping in.
Indianapolis Colts | CBS Game of the Week | October 11, 2020 | 4:25 PM
The Browns will host Philips Rivers and his new team in Cleveland. The Colts are a good football team, and if Rivers can find his old form for one season, they jump to a legit Superbowl contender. Chris Ballard has done a great job filling the roster with talent, and Frank Reich has done a good job in his two seasons at the helm. Especially last season after losing Andrew Luck to retirement. This will be a fierce battle, and it could be anyone’s game.
Jacksonville Jaguars | November 29, 2020 | 1:00 PM
The Browns head down to Jacksonville to meet up with old friend Joe Schobert and the rebuilding Jaguars. With all the talent the Jags have shipped out on a team that was not so good a season ago, this should be a win for the Browns. Sorry, Joe, but good luck in Jacksonville.
Tennessee Titans | December 6, 2020 | 1:00 PM
Payback for last year. That should be the player’s motto heading into this game. The Titans opened last season by crushing the hyped-up Browns 43-13. If that does not motivate the team, then nothing will.
Baltimore Ravens | Monday Night Football| December 14, 2020 | 8:15 PM
Could this be a pivotal game in the division? The Ravens are predicted to be a dominating squad once again, and if the Browns can find something under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, it just could be. The Browns have the talent to play with the Ravens as they showed in 45-20 win in 2019, but it is a new season, and they will need to prove it again.
New York Giants | December 20, 2020 | 1:00 PM
Odell Beckham Jr. back in his old stomping grounds for a game against the Giants. Even as a 1 pm game, the intrigue of Odell facing his former team will give this one some flair. Both the Giants and the Browns are coming off losing seasons, but the talent favors the Browns. This is another game the Browns have to win to be a great team. Look for Odell to want to put on a show for his old fans.
