The Miami Dolphins have struck a deal with, fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Tua Tagovailoa. The Deal is a four-year, $30,275,438 million dollar deal with a fifth-year team option.
The Dolphins were in desperate need of a starting quarterback after Ryan Fitzpatrick is near the end of his career and Josh Rosen is not the current answer for the Dolphins. Tua Tagovailoa has some injury issues, but overall he is one of the most talented players in the 2020 Draft Class. Fitzpatrick will most likely start the beginning of the season, but after that Tua will take over the starting position.
In his junior season, Tua threw 2,840 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, three interceptions, and in only nine games with the team. Compared to his sophomore season where he threw 3,966 passing yards, 43 touchdowns, six interceptions, and in 15 games. Tua Tagovailoa will be the quarterback of the future for the Dolphins and hopefully, he will not have much injury history in his NFL career. Overall, Tua is expected to start either halfway this season or next season, so the NFL shall wait for when Tua will get his first start.
