Leonard Hamilton adds another five star recruit to his resume. Five star shooting guard Matthew Cleveland has committed to Florida State. He chose the Seminoles over Michigan, Stanford, Kansas, and NC State. Cleveland is a member of the 2021 class.
Matthew Cleveland is 6’6 shooting guard from Alpharetta, Georgia. Due to his athleticism, Cleveland can score at a high level and he is a good rebounder for his size as well. Early on in his recruitment many believed he would stay in state and play for Georgia Tech. He took multiple unofficial visits to the school. He announced his final five last month which included Florida State, Michigan, Stanford, Kansas, and NC State. Georgia Tech did not make the cut. After his list cut, Florida State was gaining all the talk in his recruitment. He made it official and committed to Florida State.
Matthew Cleveland is not the only player committed to play for Leonard Hamilton and Florida State next season. Four star guard Bryce McGowens committed back in February. Leonard Hamilton has built a great culture at Florida State. He continues to recruit and win at a very high level. They should be one of the best teams in the ACC for years to come.
