You read that correctly. Sports are finally (about to be) back! NBC Sports Philadelphia is gearing up to air 70 games in 66 days. This of course signals the return of our beloved Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers.
It is absolutely astonishing to think about how long it has been since we have been able to watch our Philly teams in action. It has been since March 11th. That is incredible. On that date, Joel Embiid returned from injury and the Sixers defeated the Pistons 124-106.
This plethora of games includes 56 Phillies games, eight Sixers games, and fourFlyers games. Basically, its heaven for a Philly Sports fan. It should be an exciting ride, which includes the Sixers and Flyers journeys towards a championship. And how ’bout them Phillies?
All of this kicks off on Friday July 24th, 2020. The Sixers play the first game of this sequence; a scrimmage against the Memphis Grizzlies at 3:30 pm. The Phillies also open their regular season Friday, July 24th, at 7:05 pm at home against the Miami Marlins.
This is going to be fun. Buckle up!
