The Miami Dolphins Waived Rookie Offensive Tackle, Nick Kaltmayer

The Miami Dolphins waived, rookie offensive tackle, Nick Kaltmayer on August 16th, 2020. 

Nick Kaltmayer is six foot eight inches, and he weighs 311 pounds. He went to college at Kansas State University. Some of his career honors at Kansas State were 2019 honorable mention All-Big 12 (coaches), 2018-19 First Team Academic All-Big 12, 2017 All-Bowl Team (ESPN), and 2017 Second-Team Academic All-Big 12. 

In his freshman season with Kansas State, Kaltmayer redshirted as a freshman but continued to work hard.

In his 2017 season with Kansas State, Kaltmayer “saw time in every game, including a start at right tackle in the Cactus Bowl against UCLA”. He helped block for a record 344-yard rushing output against the Bruins. Kaltmayer’s main job to the team is when he played offensive line for field goal protection.

In his 2018 season, he played all 12 games and primarily played field goal protection. 

In his 2019 season, he started all 13 games at right tackle, which he earned honorable mentions All-Big 12 accolades from the league’s coaches. He had a monster senior season and went into the 2020 NFL Draft. The Miami Dolphins signed Kaltmayer as an undrafted free agent on April 29th, 2020. He was then cut by the Maimi Dolphins on August 16th, 2020.
