Update On Possible Return for Russell Westbrook

Since the injury to Russell Westbrook was announced last week there has been speculation about his return date. Some ranging from three games to out the entire series. Today we have an update from Shams Charania on the Pat McAfee Show.

As Shams puts it in the video “there is hope” Russell Westbrook returns this weekend which would put him right align for game 3. This has not been confirmed by anyone on the Rockets staff in public but we all know Charania is as plugged in as anyone in the league. There is a good chance he has spoken with Rockets officials about this possibility.

Westbrook was seen getting up shots at yesterday’s practice. Doing the practice Westbrook was seen getting up set shots from the 3-point range. Quad injuries are tricky they can be aggravated at any time and you can not rush back too soon. The Rockets of course start their series on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
