The headline attraction of NO SURRENDER III will feature the other bracket of the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament semifinals.

#1-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender “The Million Dollar Baby” Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort will go toe-to-toe with #3-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai.

The winner of this match gets Saemapetch Fairtex next, and gets a step closer to a world title shot against the champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao. The stakes are high in this crucial bout. Let us take an in-depth analysis at how they match up.

SANGMANEE

Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort is a generational talent. “The Million Dollar Baby” has an incredible resume in his early career. At the age of 15, he won four World Titles at the famous Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Muay Thai stadiums. He has defeated prominent opponents in the likes of Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and Superlek Kiatmuu9.

What makes Sangmanee victorious is his complete game. Everytime Sangmanee steps into the ring, he brings a well-rounded arsenal of strikes. He is a volume striker that fights in an extremely high pace.

Sangmanee has yet to lose in ONE Super Series action. In his first 2 fights in the promotion, he displayed his skillful fighting style. Outworking the French-Moroccan striker Azize Hlali, and dismantling the Japanese favorite Kenta Yamada.

KULABDAM

Kulabdam Sor.Jor.Piek Uthai may be new to ONE Super Series action but he is seasoned in the big stages. “The Left Meteorite” was a Muay Thai national champion and a 2-division title holder in the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium, earning a “Fighter of the Year” honors.

“The Left Meteorite” made a big impact in his promotional debut, edging the #2-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Bobo Sacko.

Kulabdam’s nickname “The Left Meteorite” lives up to his game. He possesses a tremendous power in his left straight punches, resulting to numerous impressive knockouts. With a boxing background in his arsenal, Kulabdam is a dangerous striker.

FIGHT BREAKDOWN

This match will be packed with action. Stylistically, this is a thrilling bout as both men like to throw with bad intentions.

Kulabdam is a pressure fighter. He likes to walk his opponents down and throw chopping kicks to the lead leg. He often fights inside boxing range and being busy in the pocket.

Technique and fight IQ are Sangmanee’s advantage in this fight. It is easy to say that Sangmanee has the better timing and accuracy in his strikes.

Sangmanee quite gets his rhythm during the middle rounds. So, for Kulabdam, he needs to work early in the match. He should capitalize in his explosive boxing to get Sangmanee’s respect. He must utilize leg kicks early to take away Sangmanee’s constant movement. Making Sangmanee out of his rhythm is vital for Kulabdam’s game plan.

Sangmanee excels overtime. However, it doesn’t mean that he starts with slack. Sangmanee is a clever fighter with masterful evasion skills. He builds off his momentum by making his opponents miss and taking advantage off of that by counter-striking.

Expect to see powerful left kicks and punches as both of these men are southpaws. Kulabdam’s fighting style is quite risky but he finishes fights when he lands that big left hand of his. On the other hand, Sangmanee has the ability to decimate and pick you apart.

Who will stand out triumphant? There’s only one way to find out. Watch ONE NO Surrender 3 this August 21.
