Earl Thomas Released

The Ravens are parting with their two-time pro-bowl safety, Earl Thomas. His release comes two days after he punched fellow teammate Safety Chuck Clark.

The 31-year-old was sent home Friday and has not returned to the Ravens since. In his NFL career, this is Thomas’ second known exchange with a teammate. The first one was with Ravens nose tackle Brandon Williams after a loss against the Cleveland Browns 11 months ago. Earl also either missed or was late to several team meetings throughout his time in Baltimore. If you add in the domestic issues that plagued Thomas this past off-season, the Ravens hand was surely forced.

His Contract

Baltimore will end up releasing Thomas due to conduct detrimental to the team. At the moment, Dallas, Houston and San Fransisco seem to be the leaders to sign the Texas native. Before his release, Thomas signed a 4 year $55 million contract in 2019. This would have been his second season with the Ravens.

This is a developing story and OTH will have you covered with all of the details as they develop.
