Unfortunate news for Rockets fans. Russell Westbrook will not make his Rockets postseason debut in tomorrow’s upcoming Game 5 matchup.
Earlier today Mike D’Antoni announced that Russ had been upgraded to “day-to-day,” however it appears he will remain sidelined for Game 5 and will not play until the medical staff deems appropriate.
Westbrooks’ timetable for return is currently unknown. However, if the Thunder were to take a 3-2 series lead, Westbrook would likely make his debut for game six.
With the series tied at two apiece, the Rockets are in dire need of a healthy Westbrook. After initially taking a 2-0 series lead, the Thunder have marched right back and won two straight. As the momentum of the series is beginning to shift, the superstar’s presence could quite literally be, “game-changing.”
On the contrary, there is some good news for Rockets fans. Westbrook is reportedly desperate to go out and compete with his teammates. According to Mark Medina, Russell Westbrook is getting “stir-crazy,” as he waits to be cleared to play.
