ONE: A NEW BREED RESULTS: Allycia Rodrigues defeats Stamp Fairtex, Rodlek secures title shot.

ONE Championship is back launching the first leg of its upcoming series, A New Breed. With another spectacular event, the card headlined with Allycia Rodrigues defeating Stamp Fairtex, becoming the new ONE Atomweight Muay Thai Champion, and Rodlek seizing his second opportunity as he secures a title shot.

MAIN EVENT

In A New Breed’s main event, Stamp Fairtex world title reign has come to a stop when Allycia Hellen Rodrigues won in what is a major upset in ONE Championship.

The fight started slow, with the referee signaling both women to give more action and engagement. The first two rounds were all Stamp Fairtex. Stamp worked actively in the clinch, landing knees to the body every time they wrap up.

Stamp effectively changes levels and throw combinations to the head and body of her opponent. Stamp landed some good overhand right punches that backed Allycia. She was also able to catch Allycia’s kicks and counter with straight right hands.

During the third round, Rodrigues opened up more aggressively and actively. Allycia threw more front and roundhouse kicks, landing either to the body or head of Stamp. In the middle of the round, Alicia bloodied the nose of Stamp as he landed a counter elbow when Stamp overextended.

The championship rounds were a do or die situation for Allycia Rodrigues. With Stamp arguably ahead of the judge’s scorecards, Allycia needed to give her all to win. And she delivered.

On the fourth and fifth rounds, Rodrigues was all over Stamp. Allycia was on rhythm becoming more accurate and effective. Allycia became the more effective striker when on the clinch or close distance. She scored good elbows and kicks. While Allycia was still fresh and her work rate up, Stamp Fairtex’s body language showed that she was tired and gassed.

With her comeback, Allycia Rodrigues was able to get the judges’ nod and became the new ONE Atomweight Muay Thai Champion.

CO-MAIN EVENT

In A New Breed’s co-main event, Rodlek PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym becomes the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament Champion. With his win, a ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title shot against Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is for the future.

At the opening bell, both men had an early test of leg kicks as they started feeling each other out. The steel locomotive, Rodlek continued to implement his game pushing forward and becoming the aggressor.

The second round started quite differently. Both men opened up aggressively throwing power combinations. Kulabdam had more volume throwing counter right hooks and managed to cut Rodlek on the forehead with an elbow while on the clinch.

But Rodlek kept pushing forward, throwing straight right hands. In the last minutes of the round, Rodlek trapped Kulabdam in the ropes and threw an uppercut-left hook combination that dropped Kulabdam down.

Kulabdam managed to stand up and survive the round. However, everything was on Rodlek’s momentum. As the final round started, Rodlek was overflowing with confidence. Rodlek started to target the body aggressively, again scoring a knockdown as he landed a right hook-body punch combination. Kulabdam’s body is hurt but he was able to endure it and finish the fight.

Rodlek is now the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament Champion, and he will have a shot to challenge the Champion, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.
