Update: Danuel House Possibly Violated Bubble Protocol

By Lachard Binkley

Houston Rockets Danuel House has been under investigation by the NBA for violating bubble protocol. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports House “allegedly allowing a female COVID-19 testing official”. House was a late scratch for Game 3 of the Houston Rockets and Los Angles Lakers series.

Speculation has run rampant as several possible reasons for House missing the last game have been floating around. After the last game, Mike D’ Antoni was asked about House status for Game 4. D’Antoni’s response was “I have no idea”. What made it even more peculiar Tyson Chandler was also scratched from the last game. We later found out that neither House nor Chandler actually left the bubble or the perimeter.

Danuel House playing status for the rest of the playoffs is now up in the air. There is a possibility that House will not play for the rest of the playoffs. The fourth-year small forward has become an integral part of the Houston Rockets. House has become one of the Rocket’s best two-way players this year after a disappointing 2019 playoffs.

House averaged 10.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this year while playing 30.4 minutes in the regular season. A decision should be coming soon on House playing status for the playoffs.

Stay tuned as I will keep you updated on any new developments.

Update: The latest information is that there is no video evidence of anyone entering Danuel House room. Tyson Chandler has already been cleared and the information given on the third player was deemed not credible.
